Heatcraft Refrigeration Equipment

Heatcraft refrigeration equipment includes the Bohn, Chandler, Larkin, and Climate Control lines of equipment.

I haven't worked on Chandler equipment, but I have worked on Bohn, Larkin, and Climate Control equipment, and it's all well made.

The bases and mounting brackets, enclosure panels and frames, and safety grills are all top quality, durable, and carefully assembled.

Heatcraft refrigeration electrical components (motors, controls, heaters, etc.), and refrigeration components (compressors, TXV's, receivers, etc.), are all top quality from major manufacturers, and you should be able to find them easily at your local parts wholesaler when you need to replace them.

Wiring diagrams are accurate and complete, and the service and installation instructions provide a step by step guide for smooth installation and start-up.

If you're buying Heatcraft refrigeration equipment; select the correct equipment for the load, do a careful installation, stick to a good maintenance schedule, and you should expect years of efficient, trouble-free operation.

For detailed information about their products, visit Heatcraft.com.

If you're operating older equipment and are changing over from R-12 and R-502 to one of the newer refrigerants, make sure you follow the guidelines from the compressor and refrigerant manufacturers.

Thoroughly clean out the mineral oil and replace it with the correct oil, replace the filter drier, replace the TXV, and make sure your pressures, temperatures, superheat, and subcooling are all in the normal range.
