Packaged Unit Air Conditioning
Packaged unit air conditioning means that all of the air conditioner's main machinery is housed in one package.
It could be a 5 ton home or
office air conditioning
unit, or it could even be a 200 ton
commercial air conditioning
system providing cooling for a hotel.
With a few exceptions, most packaged unit air conditioning systems are designed so that all of the components that need maintenance or repair are easy to get to.
This helps technicians perform repairs and maintenance more efficiently, and that helps the owner save money.
Modern controls, variable speed motors, and compressor technology also provide features that help the owner save money.
As cooling zones in the building cool down; air flow control dampers close, evaporator blowers can be slowed down, and compressors can be staged off and un-loaded.
These features improve efficiency and reduce the power consumption of the unit.
